Description
From the archives, these sets of handmade Artist Proof cyanotypes were created as initial proofs on the luxurious hand deckled, heavy set Fabriano paper to test the density of the chemical, paper, and the drying properties, in the exposure, washing, and drying stages of the process.
It was later discovered that the PH Balance of this specific paper affected the shade of the blue, limiting the achievement of a really dark blue; therefore was discontinued in its use.
The light varied touches of the prints lend themselves to the fleeting and ephemeral nature of flight and movement, sometimes giving the prints a ghostly and dream-like state.
*Please note: As these were proofs, there may be exposed images on the reverse of some of the prints- they do not affect the front of the images [just an added bonus to your print :)]
